DWS launches three Xtrackers fixed-income ETFs

DWS launched three Xtrackers fixed-income ETFs on July 8 covering global corporate, global high-yield and eurozone government bonds, listed across exchanges July 9–14.

DWS launched three Xtrackers fixed-income ETFs on July 8: Xtrackers Global Corporate Bond UCITS ETF, Xtrackers Global High Yield Bond UCITS ETF and Xtrackers Eurozone Government Bond 1-10 UCITS ETF. The funds were listed on their respective exchanges between July 9 and July 14.

The additions expand DWS’s fixed-income ETF platform, which manages more than €80 billion in ETF assets. The Global Corporate Bond and Global High Yield Bond ETFs are the first Xtrackers products focused on global investment-grade corporate debt and global high-yield corporate debt. The Eurozone Government Bond 1-10 ETF targets sovereign bonds issued in the euro area with maturities of one to ten years.

DWS developed the products with Intercontinental Exchange, using ICE BofA fixed income indices as the benchmarks. Each fund is available in hedged and unhedged variants and is offered within UCITS-compliant structures. Total expense ratios start at 8 basis points.

Sam Manchanda, Head of Private Wealth Coverage, EMEA ex. Germany, Austria & CEE at DWS, commented: “Investor demand for fixed income ETFs continues to grow as bonds regain their role as a core portfolio allocation. These new ETFs provide investors with efficient access to global credit markets through diversified exposures that can serve as core building blocks within long-term portfolios.”

Michael Mohr, Global Head of Xtrackers Products at DWS, added: “This launch represents an important milestone for our fixed income ETF offering, bringing global investment grade and high yield credit exposures to the Xtrackers range for the first time. We are expanding the toolkit available to investors and are delivering innovative building blocks that support increasingly sophisticated portfolio construction needs.”

DWS stated the funds provide access to global credit markets and eurozone sovereign debt for investors seeking exposures for roles such as income generation and duration management.
