Dext Payments launches services in Canada
Dext Payments has launched in Canada, offering payment-processing tools to accounting firms and small businesses that integrate with its bookkeeping software.
Dext Payments, the payments division of Dext, has launched operations in Canada, making its payment services available to Canadian businesses and accounting firms.
The launch allows Canadian users to access Dext’s payments tools alongside the company’s existing data-extraction and accounting software, operating under Canadian payment rules, Dext said.
The service is being offered to both existing Dext customers and new clients in Canada. The product links payment processing with Dext’s document-capture capabilities so invoices, receipts and payment records flow into accounting systems in a more connected way.
Dext said the expansion responds to demand from accounting firms and small businesses for integrated payment options. The company noted that combining payments with accounting records can reduce manual reconciliation and help keep ledgers up to date.
No financial terms or deployment timelines were disclosed. Dext has not published a list of Canadian banking or processor partners and said it will work within Canada’s payment infrastructure to deliver services.
Dext was founded as Receipt Bank and later rebranded. The addition of a payments arm follows a trend among accounting software providers to add payment capabilities to simplify cash flow and reconciliation.
