Daloopa launches Scout AI Excel agent for financial models
Daloopa’s Scout is now generally available to build and update Excel financial models using plain-language prompts and links figures to verified data for 6,000+ companies.
Daloopa announced the general availability of Scout, an AI agent embedded in Excel that builds and updates financial models using plain-language prompts. Each figure in a Scout model links to verified public-company data covering more than 6,000 firms worldwide.
Scout runs on Daloopa’s structured, verified data layer and operates inside users’ spreadsheets. Analysts can ask Scout to create models from scratch, refresh forecasts after earnings, and generate side-by-side company comparisons without leaving Excel. Figures are hyperlinked to original filings or source documents so users can trace numbers back to primary records.
The agent can produce full models, adjust existing ones, and apply the same underlying dataset across comparisons. The Excel integration includes quick-start prompts, a feature called Skills for saving frequent instructions, default settings for formatting and modeling preferences, and a chat history to return to prior sessions.
Daloopa developed Scout with input from former sell-side analysts and built the tool around typical public equity Excel workflows. The company described Scout as part of a broader effort to add AI automation to investment research workflows by pairing machine assistance with its verified data foundation.
Thomas Li, Daloopa’s CEO, stated: “Analysts should spend their time applying judgment, not on the manual, error-prone work of building and updating models. Scout brings us closer to that vision by combining AI with verified data directly in Excel, giving analysts greater speed without sacrificing the rigor their work demands.”
Daloopa confirmed Scout is now available to customers and that models created with the agent retain links to source documents for review.
