Crypto Tops ETF Database’s April Most-Read List
Three of ETF Database’s five most-read April articles covered crypto, led by CoinShares DIME adding Hyperliquid and reports of bitcoin miners moving into AI data centers.
ETF Database’s April most-read list included three cryptocurrency-focused pieces among the top five. The No. 1 entry covered a portfolio change at the CoinShares Altcoins ETF, and the No. 2 item examined bitcoin miners expanding into AI data centers.
DJ Shaw’s top article, “CoinShares DIME Adds Hyperliquid to Altcoin Portfolio,” reported that the CoinShares Altcoins ETF (ticker DIME) added Hyperliquid in April. The fund tracks an index of alternative cryptocurrencies and excludes bitcoin, ether and stablecoins. The article described Hyperliquid as a smaller, non-major token included in the ETF’s altcoin lineup.
Shaw’s second-most-read story, “Bitcoin Miners Shift Focus to AI Data Centers,” reported that some bitcoin mining companies are diversifying operations to serve artificial intelligence workloads and data-center customers. The story cited Cipher Digital Inc., the largest holding of the CoinShares Bitcoin Mining ETF (ticker WGMI), as an example of a miner exploring AI-related services alongside traditional mining.
Ben Hernandez’s article on silver supply and demand, “Structural Silver Deficit: Navigate Volatility With a Dual-Asset Approach,” ranked third for April. Hernandez noted that investors have been selling silver-related assets amid equity market volatility and described demand drivers tied to electrification, industrial use and renewable energy applications. Hernandez’s interview with the CEO of Roundhill Investments about recent ETF product launches and themes placed fourth.
Elle Fitzgerald’s piece, “Does Systematic Indexing Top Market Timing in Crypto?”, rounded out the top five. At the Exchange conference, Osprey Funds executive Bill Birmingham told attendees that advisors ‘avoid significant stress and better serve their clients by opting for an indexed approach rather than using active management strategies with cryptocurrencies.’
Topics in the April rankings included a specific altcoin addition to an ETF portfolio, miners pursuing AI and data-center work, metal market dynamics, and ETF product innovation. The cited tickers in the coverage were DIME and WGMI. The articles were published on ETF Database in April by DJ Shaw, Ben Hernandez and Elle Fitzgerald.
