CloudTech launches institutional crypto trading in APAC
CloudTech will roll out a regulated institutional cryptocurrency trading platform with custody and execution services to licensed clients in Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan.
CloudTech announced plans to offer institutional-grade cryptocurrency trading services to licensed investors across the Asia-Pacific region, including a regulated trading platform, custody solutions and direct market access for asset managers, hedge funds and family offices.
The platform will be introduced in phases to institutional clients across APAC, with initial priority given to Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan. The company said onboarding will start with a set of pilot clients to validate connectivity and trade workflows before wider commercial availability. No firm regional launch date or detailed fee schedules were provided.
CloudTech described the offering as high-liquidity spot trading, over-the-counter execution for block trades and an execution API built for low-latency order routing and algorithmic strategies. The infrastructure will connect to multiple liquidity providers and market makers to support large orders and reduce slippage. Institutional clients will be able to trade major tokens, stablecoins and selected tokenized assets, subject to regional licensing and internal risk controls.
The custody design separates hot-wallet services used for settlement from offline cold-storage holdings for longer-term custody. CloudTech said it will use multi-signature key management and engage third-party custodians in markets where local custody licenses are required. The platform will include client onboarding procedures for know-your-customer checks and transaction monitoring, along with reporting tools for regulated entities.
Planned integrations include FIX and REST APIs, connectivity for algorithmic trading and reporting compatible with common custodial and accounting systems. CloudTech said it will provide dedicated account managers and around-the-clock trading support for institutional clients operating across multiple time zones in the region.
CloudTech has entered partnerships with banks and custodial firms to provide settlement rails and fiat on-ramps in selected APAC jurisdictions. Initial onboarding will use pilot clients to test connectivity and operational workflows before a broader rollout.
Julian Park, CloudTech’s chief executive, stated, “We designed the platform for professional traders and institutional allocators who need predictable execution and custody controls. Our focus is on delivering market access that matches the operational and compliance standards of traditional financial institutions.”
Demand from institutional investors for cryptocurrency trading and custody services has grown in the Asia-Pacific region. Regulators in APAC have taken varied approaches to licensing and oversight, prompting market participants to seek infrastructure that can meet local compliance requirements.
CloudTech said prospective clients can request information through its institutional sales team and that it will publish additional technical and compliance documentation ahead of commercial availability.
