CloudPay has announced a strategic investment in Intermezzo, an AI-native global payroll infrastructure company.
CloudPay described the investment as supporting its Automation, AI and APIs strategy and as a way to speed development of automated tools for multi-country payroll.
Intermezzo developed a platform to consolidate and automate cross-border payroll workflows. CloudPay plans to adopt Intermezzo’s AI-driven platform to simplify payroll processes across multiple countries and to strengthen its in-house capabilities.
The partnership is intended to increase efficiency, reduce operational complexity and improve outcomes for organisations that manage global payroll. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed.
Roland Folz, CloudPay’s chief executive, said: ‘As customer expectations evolve, organisations are looking for greater automation, intelligence and simplicity.’
Siddharth Ram, Intermezzo co-founder and chief executive, commented: ‘CloudPay is one of the most respected names in global payroll, and we’re pleased to welcome them as both an investor and strategic partner.’
CloudPay provides payroll and payments services to multinational organisations. Intermezzo positions itself as an infrastructure layer to standardize and automate multi-country payroll operations. CloudPay said the adoption of Intermezzo’s technology will support its roadmap for API integration and more consistent processing for international clients.
