CloudMargin names Nico Busch CPO amid shift to AI products

Nico Busch becomes chief product officer and Steven Marconi is promoted to president & COO as CloudMargin reorganizes to build AI-native products and expand client services.

CloudMargin announced today that Nico Busch has been appointed chief product officer and Steven Marconi has been promoted to president and chief operating officer. Busch will report to Marconi, who will assume expanded responsibility for product and client services in addition to operations.

The company said the leadership changes align the business with a new product vision that uses recent advances in agentic artificial intelligence. Chief executive Stuart Connolly noted the firm met its previous three-year commercial and product strategy and has tracked strong growth; he added that agentic AI will form the foundation of the next development phase.

Marconi reported the firm has hired professionals with hands-on AI engineering and product development experience and plans further recruitment to build tools that use native AI capabilities to improve client efficiency.

David White, chief commercial officer since 2020, will now oversee revenue growth and client success. Simon Millington, a 2015 hire who led business development, will report to White as head of client success and partners. Miriam Marascio has been named chief client services officer and will report to Marconi. Yasmin Ullah moves from chief people officer to chief of staff with broader responsibilities and will continue to report to Marconi.

Busch joins from Xceptor, where he spent nearly four years as product manager and later head of product. He previously worked at Digital Asset and held product roles at Duco from 2016 to 2021. Earlier positions include roles in risk, product and analytics at Kyriba, IT2 Treasury Solutions and Bank of New York Mellon. Busch holds a BSc in philosophy and economics from the London School of Economics and an MSc in risk management and financial engineering from Imperial College London.

CloudMargin describes itself as a collateral and margin management solution purpose-built for the cloud. The company said the new leadership structure and product focus aim to capture market opportunities created by AI-native capabilities while maintaining the client services and commercial functions needed to support growth.
