Clearstream launches digital securities post-trade platform

Clearstream has launched a digital-first securities platform to modernize settlement, custody and asset servicing across its global post-trade network.

Clearstream, the post-trade services arm of Deutsche Börse Group, has launched a digital-first securities platform to modernize settlement, custody and asset servicing across its global network. The platform was introduced recently and centralizes functions that had been handled by separate legacy systems.

The service provides application programming interfaces, richer event-level data and automated workflows designed to reduce manual reconciliation and increase straight-through processing. It supports conventional securities operations and includes integrations with tokenized assets and distributed ledgers.

The platform uses a modular, cloud-friendly architecture that allows clients to add specific services-such as settlement, securities lending, collateral management and corporate actions-without replacing their entire back office. Clearstream added the service includes enhanced connectivity to exchanges and central securities depositories, real-time status reporting for post-trade events, and tools for automated reconciliation and exception handling.

Clearstream plans a phased rollout that begins with selected institutional customers and will extend access across its markets over the coming months. The platform is available now to a subset of Clearstream’s clients, with further functionality and broader access scheduled to be introduced in stages.

Clearstream described the platform in a statement: “The platform gives our clients faster, more transparent and interoperable post-trade services, whether they are using traditional securities or experimenting with tokenized instruments.”

Clearstream previously ran pilots and proof-of-concept projects on distributed ledgers and tokenized securities. The company said the new platform builds on those projects and will be expanded in coordination with industry partners and clients as market standards for digital assets and post-trade messaging evolve.
