Citadel Securities Hires Former Balyasny Trader Aditya Singh
Citadel Securities has hired former Balyasny rates trader Aditya Singh for its London fixed-income business, expanding a team that includes several former Goldman Sachs macro traders.
Citadel Securities has hired Aditya Singh, a former rates trader at Balyasny Asset Management and Goldman Sachs, for its fixed-income business in London. He is expected to join the operation led by Nikhil Choraria, another former Goldman trader.
Singh reportedly left Balyasny earlier in 2026, possibly in May. Choraria joined Citadel Securities in September and took responsibility for the firm’s fixed-income business.
Citadel Securities’ London team also includes former Goldman traders Nohshad Shah, Frank Flight and Ishaan Sethi.
Singh’s hiring follows several senior departures from Balyasny. James Watson, who led a 20-person investment team in London, returned to Millennium Management. Former Goldman trader George Tyrrell and macro trader Stanley Sheriff have also left Balyasny.
Sheriff reportedly retired from the industry at age 33 after joining Balyasny’s Dubai operation in May 2025. Balyasny and Citadel Securities did not comment on Singh’s hiring.
