Capitolis names Jon Gizzie head of financial resource management
Capitolis appointed Jon Gizzie head of financial resource management to oversee capital allocation, liquidity planning and balance-sheet strategy for its post-trade optimization services.
Capitolis named Jon Gizzie head of financial resource management, assigning him to lead the company’s management of capital, liquidity and other financial resources in support of client-facing products and operations.
Gizzie will oversee Capitolis’s financial resource management function, coordinating internal capital allocation and liquidity planning and integrating balance-sheet strategy with the firm’s post-trade optimization services for institutional clients.
Capitolis is a U.S.-based fintech that provides capital and balance-sheet optimization tools to banks, broker-dealers and other institutional market participants. Its platform identifies opportunities to reduce regulatory capital and funding costs by reconfiguring exposures across trading and clearing operations.
The role includes responsibilities for capital allocation, liquidity forecasting, stress testing and coordination with treasury and risk teams, functions that affect operational resilience and product delivery.
Capitolis has expanded its product set to include netting and trading utilities intended to improve capital efficiency for large market participants. The company’s services involve interactions with clearinghouses, custodians and institutional counterparties and require coordination across product, risk and finance teams.
Capitolis did not provide details about Gizzie’s prior positions or the timeline for his new responsibilities. Industry observers say senior hires in finance and treasury roles can help fintech firms scale client operations while maintaining regulatory and operational controls.
