Broadridge links NYFIX to CAPIS for overnight U.S. equity trades

Broadridge integrated CAPIS and Blue Ocean’s overnight ATS into NYFIX, enabling broker-dealers and institutions to trade over 4,000 NMS-listed U.S. equities outside regular hours.

Broadridge Financial Solutions has enhanced its NYFIX trading platform by integrating CAPIS and connecting to Blue Ocean Technologies’ overnight alternative trading system, providing overnight access to U.S. equity liquidity for more than 4,000 NMS-listed securities.

The integration routes NYFIX orders through CAPIS’s institutional sales trading into Blue Ocean’s overnight trading pool, enabling extended-hours executions and access to high-touch sales trading services outside the regular U.S. trading day.

Broadridge said clients can use the capability for portfolio rebalancing, exposure adjustments and event-driven executions tied to earnings releases, macroeconomic announcements and international developments, allowing firms to act before markets open.

The company described the update as an interoperability enhancement that links buy-side and sell-side workflows with both traditional venues and alternative liquidity pools while preserving existing connectivity and post-trade processes.

George Rosenberger, general manager of NYFIX at Broadridge Trading & Connectivity Solutions, described the partnership as “enabling interoperability across the buy side, sell side, and both traditional and non-traditional liquidity pools, while enhancing workflow efficiency and creating a more seamless client experience.”

Mark Viani, director of institutional sales business development at CAPIS, noted, “At CAPIS, we always encourage our traders to seek out the best execution venues and tools to simplify post-trade processes and enhance operational resiliency. Together with Broadridge, we are enabling more efficient trader execution and improving operational precision in real time.”

Brian Hyndman, CEO of Blue Ocean Technologies, said, “We are delighted to work with both these industry leaders to supplement their ongoing efforts to deliver new opportunities for growth and cross-market collaboration.”

Broadridge did not disclose adoption figures or pricing for the integrated service. Clients will access the overnight capability through their existing NYFIX relationships and routing configurations.
