Broadridge launches DLX tokenization platform
Broadridge launched DLX, an end-to-end tokenization and digital asset platform that links on-chain and off-chain workflows and connects to the DTCC Tokenization Service via Canton.
Broadridge has launched DLX, a fully integrated tokenization and digital asset infrastructure platform designed to link tokenized and traditional markets through a single operating layer for on-chain and off-chain activity. The company positioned the platform to let financial firms integrate tokenized workflows into existing systems and controls.
DLX debuts with connectivity to the DTCC Tokenization Service via Canton and will add links to other networks and partners over time. Broadridge did not disclose pricing or a detailed timetable for client onboarding in the announcement.
The platform supports issuance, trading, settlement, servicing, custody, governance and distribution for tokenized instruments. At launch it covers multiple asset classes, including bonds, equities, funds, private market instruments and money market products, all managed within the same framework for tokenization and operations.
DLX uses a modular, multi-chain architecture with a central orchestration layer that combines smart contract services, trading and execution workflows, books and records, custody and wallet infrastructure. The layer provides connectivity to payment rails, compliance providers, custodians and distribution channels so firms can route tokenized activity through existing operational models. The platform supports self-custody, third-party custody and hybrid custody arrangements.
Broadridge built DLX on its Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR), a production capability for collateral mobility and securities financing that handles more than $350 billion in daily activity across thousands of transactions. DLX expands that foundation beyond a single use case into a broader platform for multiple market functions and asset types.
Horacio Barakat, Broadridge’s Global Head of Digital Innovation, described the platform: “Tokenization is increasingly becoming the foundation of more programmable, connected and always-on financial markets. DLX gives market participants an accelerated pathway to operating on chain without sacrificing the controls, connectivity, and operating models they rely on today.”
Broadridge said it will announce broader use cases and additional network connections as the platform integrates more market participants and infrastructure providers.
