G7 securities join Broadridge’s tokenized repo network

Broadridge added G7 sovereign and high-grade securities to its Distributed Ledger Repo network, enabling cross-border tokenized repo, intraday repo and atomic settlement of securities and cash.

Broadridge Financial Solutions has added G7 sovereign and high-grade securities to its Distributed Ledger Repo (DLR) network. Institutional participants can execute cross-border tokenized repurchase agreements, intraday repo transactions and collateral movements with synchronized, atomic settlement of securities and cash. The platform connects tokenized capabilities to existing trading and post-trade workflows to coordinate delivery of tokenized securities and payment in a single transaction.

Atomic settlement on DLR synchronizes the transfer of securities and the payment of cash so both occur together. The design aims to reduce settlement risk and operational steps by eliminating timing mismatches between securities delivery and payment. Firms can use intraday repo on the network to manage short-term funding and intraday liquidity needs.

DLR previously supported tokenized U.S. Treasury collateral for repo and collateral pledges. The inclusion of G7 securities increases the range of high-quality assets that participants can mobilize across markets, currencies and jurisdictions without changing front- or back-office systems.

Broadridge reported that in August 2026 the DLR network processed an average of $351 billion in daily repo transactions and $7.4 trillion for the month, with thousands of transactions running each day. The platform supports repo, intraday repo and collateral pledge activity.

Aggregated DLR market data, including repo par value, turnover and trade counts, will be provided to market data terminal subscribers through Broadridge’s arrangement with a data provider, offering visibility into institutional on-chain repo activity alongside traditional fixed-income datasets. Broadridge also stated the network maintains institutional-grade governance and operational controls as it expands.

“DLR is already helping institutions move collateral more efficiently, executing repos, and managing intraday liquidity,” commented Horacio Barakat, Global Head of Digital Innovation at Broadridge.

The DLR solution integrates with trading desks, clearing and settlement processes so participants do not need to overhaul existing systems to join. With G7 collateral eligible on the network, market participants can execute international cross-border repo and collateral movements using the same atomic settlement mechanics across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
