Brevan Howard has leased nearly 7,000 square feet on the third floor of Related Group’s office building at 2850 Tigertail Avenue in Coconut Grove, Miami. The lease closed in April and the space will serve as an additional U.S. office for the European hedge fund.

The multi-strategy investment manager is led by CEO Aron Landy. Financial terms were not disclosed, according to the landlord’s representatives. The firm did not provide details on staffing or specific business activities at the Coconut Grove address.

The Miami office joins Brevan Howard’s global network, which includes locations in Jersey, London, Geneva, Hong Kong, Abu Dhabi, Bengaluru, Singapore, New York and Austin. Earlier this year the firm indicated plans to expand in Miami and Tokyo as part of its international growth.

South Florida attracted hedge funds and alternative asset managers after the Covid-19 pandemic prompted a wave of relocations. Firms cited lower taxes, a business-friendly regulatory environment and access to a growing local financial ecosystem when opening offices in the region. The pace of relocations has moderated since the pandemic peak, with many investment firms establishing smaller satellite offices before larger local expansions.

Landlords and developers in Miami reported continued interest from financial firms seeking flexible office layouts and locations close to coastal neighborhoods and transit corridors. The Coconut Grove lease provides Brevan Howard a local base for client engagement and regional operations.
