Bradesco completes pilot on Bank of America payments hub

Brazil’s Bradesco completed a pilot transaction using Bank of America’s cross-border payments platform to test integration and end-to-end payment flows.

Bradesco completed a pilot transaction using Bank of America’s cross-border payments platform to test the two banks’ systems for moving funds across international corridors.

The transaction was processed on Bank of America’s platform and involved routing of data and payment instructions between the banks’ systems. The exercise allowed both institutions to validate connectivity, message formats and the end-to-end transmission of payment instructions.

The pilot concentrated on operational testing rather than a commercial rollout. The work covered reconciliation points, routing logic and the handling of regulatory and compliance information required for cross-border transfers.

Bank of America provided the infrastructure used in the test, enabling integration with a major U.S. correspondent payments environment. Bradesco described the exercise as part of its assessment of technology that could support international payments for corporate and retail customers.

Bradesco will analyze the pilot results to decide next steps, which may include expanded testing or wider implementation. Any future actions will follow internal reviews of operational performance and regulatory compliance outcomes observed during the pilot.

Bradesco is one of Brazil’s largest private banks and Bank of America is a major U.S. bank with global payments services. Both banks have participated in industry initiatives to modernize cross-border payment rails and improve the processing of international transfers.
