Bluewhale launches 24/7 AI traders for tokenised assets

Bluewhale launched AI agents to trade tokenised stocks and assets around the clock, routing orders to multiple venues and allowing users to set risk limits and compliance controls.

Bluewhale has launched artificial intelligence agents that operate around the clock to trade tokenised stocks and other tokenised assets on the firm’s trading infrastructure.

The software continuously monitors markets, scans price movements, places and cancels orders, and manages baseline risk settings without human intervention.

Agents can route orders to multiple trading venues where tokenised instruments are listed, including centralized platforms and blockchain-based exchanges, the company said in its announcement.

Clients can configure exposure limits, stop-loss levels and position sizes before allowing the AI to trade autonomously. The agents include automated monitoring for market anomalies and can pause activity if preset conditions are breached.

Bluewhale indicated the agents use machine learning models to identify short-term price dislocations and to manage order execution with the aim of reducing slippage. The system integrates with custody providers and compliance tools to support regulatory and KYC/AML requirements where applicable.

The capability is designed to engage liquidity pools that operate 24/7 and to enable trading across time zones when tokenised shares and other digital representations of assets are listed and tradable.

Industry commentary around continuous automated trading of tokenised assets highlights operational and regulatory issues such as custody reliability, settlement and reconciliation rules, and the need for market surveillance to detect manipulation. Bluewhale said it has built controls including limits on trade sizes and automated halts for unusual market events.

Bluewhale described the launch as the next phase of its trading technology rollout and plans to monitor performance and regulatory developments while updating models and risk controls based on live trading data and client feedback.
