Bitwise lists LIT staking ETP on Deutsche Börse Xetra
Bitwise listed the Bitwise Lighter Staking ETP (BLIT) on Deutsche Börse Xetra to track LIT and capture potential staking returns. TER: 0.85%.
Bitwise has listed the Bitwise Lighter Staking ETP (ticker BLIT) on Deutsche Börse Xetra. The product, issued in Germany by Bitwise Europe GmbH, carries ISIN DE000A4AV9T5 and a total expense ratio of 0.85 percent. BLIT tracks the Kaiko Lighter Reference Rate Index and is fully backed by LIT tokens held in cold storage.
The ETP is structured to provide exchange-traded exposure to LIT, the native token of the Lighter network, and to reflect staking rewards in the cryptocurrency entitlement of each ETP unit. Potential staking rewards, if earned, accrue daily. Bitwise plans to begin active staking once the ETP reaches a sufficient level of assets under management to make staking operations efficient; until then BLIT offers exposure only to the price performance of LIT.
BLIT can be bought and sold through a regular brokerage account and does not require investors to hold a crypto wallet or perform on-chain transactions. The product is part of Bitwise’s European Total Return product suite.
Lighter is an on-chain trading platform that offers continuously tradable perpetual futures linked to major cryptocurrencies and to global stocks including Apple, Amazon and Tesla. The platform offers trading for most of the week with the goal of near-continuous availability. Settlement and custody on Lighter use blockchain infrastructure rather than traditional brokerage accounts. Lighter charges no trading fees for retail users and generates revenue from professional market makers, liquidations and treasury income.
BLIT follows Bitwise’s April launch of the Bitwise Hyperliquid Staking ETP (BHYP), which tracked the token of a similarly positioned platform. The new product expands Bitwise’s European staking offerings to include exposure to a platform that brings traditional assets onto blockchain infrastructure alongside crypto.
Bradley Duke, Bitwise’s managing director and head of Europe, described BLIT as providing exchange-traded access to a growing segment of on-chain trading platforms and noted the product gives investors the potential for staking-related returns through a regulated structure. Vladimir Novakovski, Lighter’s founder and chief executive, said the platform was built to offer institutional-grade perpetuals trading fully on-chain and uses zero-knowledge proofs to provide verifiable execution while maintaining speed, and welcomed broader access for European investors who lack direct entry to on-chain markets.
