Binance launches Agent OS to let AI agents trade for users
Binance launched Agent OS, a developer platform that lets AI agents connect to its trading, market data, wallet and payment systems to execute authorized trades within user limits.
Binance has launched Agent OS, a developer platform that allows external AI agents and tools to connect to its trading engine, market data, custodial wallets, payment rails and on‑chain functions. The platform provides a standardised access layer for applications that need to interact with the exchange’s market infrastructure.
The company says the platform supports both ready-made integrations and custom agents. Developers, fintech teams and quantitative traders can build applications that read market data, view account information and perform permitted trading activities. Supported tool integrations include ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
Users must explicitly authorize each agent to access specific account functions. Trading permissions and operational limits are configurable by the account holder. Each agent can be assigned to a dedicated subaccount so funds and trading activity remain separate from a user’s main holdings.
Binance describes Agent OS as a controlled foundation for building AI-driven finance services, providing reliable data, low-latency infrastructure and standard interfaces aimed at reducing technical friction when connecting agent software to market systems. The company says the platform covers both crypto and traditional markets.
Jeff Li, Binance’s vice-president of product, described Agent OS as addressing the fragmentation developers face when building agent-enabled finance applications and added that it ‘gives everyone from developers to quantitative traders the reliable data, low‑latency infrastructure, and standardised interfaces they need to deploy AI‑driven strategies.’
Binance says the platform limits agents to user-permitted actions and keeps authorization and fund segregation under user control, with subaccount allocation and configurable limits cited as primary controls.
