BBVA adds AI to ePricer for pricing and idea generation

BBVA Corporate & Investment Banking has added artificial intelligence features to ePricer, its digital platform for structuring and pricing products, in a new software release. The update introduces AI-driven idea generation and tools for repricing and tracking live positions.

On The Fly Ideas uses the context of a quote a client is already pricing to surface alternative product structures within the same workflow. The feature lets users view AI-generated investment ideas without leaving the ePricer interface.

Price Roll & Alerts enables clients to reprice live structures using current market conditions and to set automatic repricing triggers when a defined price target is reached or when a product approaches maturity. Secondary Valuations offers a consolidated view of active structures alongside prevailing market levels.

The platform’s user interface has been redesigned to simplify navigation, pricing and activity management. BBVA said the release marks the start of integrating its BBVA Intelligence capabilities into ePricer, with additional AI features to be added progressively.

Blanca Gonzalez Anguita, Head of eIS eConnectivity Sales at BBVA CIB, said, “We’re moving from a platform that responds to what clients want to price to one that can also help them discover what to explore next.”

Daniel Hernandez, Head of eConnectivity at BBVA CIB, commented that the bank is focused on converting AI into practical capabilities for clients and internal teams and that the new release is the beginning of further developments for ePricer.

BBVA has deployed multiple AI use cases across the group and operates a global AI Transformation area to accelerate adoption across business lines. The bank presented ePricer as an example of embedding AI in tools institutional clients use to interact with financial markets.
