Arcesium Adds MarketAxess Pricing, Trade Data Integration
Arcesium has added MarketAxess CP+ pricing and TraX transaction data to Aquata and Opterra, linking fixed-income market information with investment and operations workflows.
Arcesium expanded its integration with MarketAxess to give hedge funds, institutional asset managers and capital markets firms access to fixed-income pricing, liquidity and transaction data through its Aquata data platform and Opterra operating system. The companies announced the expansion on Oct. 7.
The integration brings MarketAxess data on pricing, liquidity, trading volumes and transactions into Arcesium’s systems. Firms can use the data for liquidity analysis, price discovery, relative-value assessments and risk management without building separate connections to each source.
MarketAxess CP+ uses artificial intelligence to generate pricing for global credit and interest-rate markets. TraX provides daily trading volumes and transaction data for more than 42,000 fixed-income instruments.
Arcesium’s Opterra supports position management, reporting, accounting, treasury and reconciliation across front-, middle- and back-office operations. The platform serves hedge funds, traditional asset managers, private market funds and capital markets businesses.
Alex Dobson, Arcesium’s senior vice president and head of product, described the integration as a way for investment teams to view market intelligence and operational data in one environment. He added that the data could help firms respond to changes in pricing and liquidity.
Ena Gordon, MarketAxess’ head of data and analytics product, said the partnership would provide clients with a source of fixed-income trading and operational data as market conditions become more complex.
The expanded integration follows Arcesium’s addition of MarketAxess Repo Match to Opterra in June 2024. The connection lets clients submit repurchase agreement trades for matching against counterparty confirmations. It also supports lifecycle events such as rate changes and trade close-outs, along with automated record updates and exception resolution.
MarketAxess Repo Match connects 127 buy-side and sell-side firms and processes more than $700 billion in average daily matched volume.
