Arcana Connects Hedge Fund Data To Claude

Arcana has launched a Claude integration that lets hedge funds and asset managers query portfolio, risk, performance and research data with natural-language prompts.

Portfolio intelligence platform Arcana has launched an integration with Claude, giving hedge funds and asset managers access to portfolio, risk, performance and research data through the artificial intelligence platform.

The integration is available through Claude’s official Connector Directory and uses Arcana’s Model Context Protocol connector. It links Claude to portfolio information and research stored in systems used by investment teams.

Users can query portfolio risks and exposures, review recent performance, analyse investment themes and crowding, and compare positions with benchmarks. They can also retrieve research and investment notes, review price targets and conviction scores, and examine potential hedging opportunities.

The integration is designed to ground Claude’s responses in an investment team’s institutional data rather than in general-purpose information. Arcana co-founder and Chief Executive Rich Falk-Wallace said AI tools for investment management need to understand the same portfolio, risk and research context as the professionals using them.

The Claude connection is part of Arcana’s effort to make its platform available through the technology systems used by investment teams. Clients can access the software through web, desktop and iOS applications, Excel, application programming interfaces, automated reporting tools and other AI interfaces.

Arcana provides software for portfolio construction, performance attribution, risk management, research and alpha capture. The company says more than 300 institutions managing over $20 trillion in assets use its platform.
