Anthropic launches Claude for Small Business with app integrations

Anthropic launched Claude for Small Business, a Claude Cowork package that links its AI assistant to QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva and DocuSign for payroll, invoicing and marketing.

Anthropic announced Claude for Small Business, a package that embeds its Claude AI assistant into common small-business software. The product runs on Claude Cowork and provides ready-made workflows for finance, operations, sales, marketing, HR and customer service.

The service connects Claude to QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, DocuSign, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 so the assistant can use live business data. Anthropic described workflows that help plan payroll, close monthly books, monitor cash flow, pursue overdue invoices, triage leads, review contracts and prepare marketing campaigns.

App-level permissions remain in place when Claude accesses linked services. On Team and Enterprise plans, Claude does not train on customer data by default, a policy Anthropic highlighted in response to small-business concerns about data security.

Anthropic is marketing the product to U.S. small businesses, which account for about 44% of U.S. GDP and employ nearly half of the private sector workforce. The company said many small-business owners have not moved past basic chatbot use because available AI tools and training are often aimed at larger firms.

To support adoption, Anthropic partnered with PayPal on an AI Fluency for Small Business course and will begin a 10-city Claude SMB Tour on May 14 in Chicago. The free half-day workshops will include stops in Tulsa, Dallas, Baton Rouge, Salt Lake City, Baltimore, San Jose and Indianapolis.

The company is expanding Claude’s professional integrations beyond small business. It added tools for legal professionals that connect Claude to platforms such as Thomson Reuters, Harvey, Box, Everlaw and DocuSign.
