ANNA Service Bureau adds DTIs and XT ISINs to database

From July 25, 2026, ANNA’s Service Bureau will include Digital Token Identifiers and XT ISINs for cryptoassets, accessible through the same platform that supplies traditional ISIN data.

From 25 July 2026, the ANNA Service Bureau (ASB) will include Digital Token Identifiers (DTIs) and XT ISINs for cryptoassets in its database. Subscribers can query those identifiers through the same platform that provides traditional International Securities Identification Numbers (ISINs) and related reference data.

The ASB has collected ISINs and reference data from more than 120 National Numbering Agencies across over 200 jurisdictions since 2001. The service is available free to ANNA members. As of 1 July, the ASB database contained 146,696,398 ISINs. The new entries will extend the database to include DTIs and XT ISINs where those digital identifiers have been assigned.

The integration follows an alignment of digital asset standards between ANNA and the Digital Token Identifier Foundation (DTIF). DTIF is a member of ANNA and is the designated Numbering Agency for XT ISINs and the Registration Authority for the DTI standard. ANNA will flag identifiers in the system to indicate whether an instrument is digital or tokenised.

Subscribers will receive XT ISINs and DTIs alongside existing ISIN records when those identifiers have been issued, allowing the same data feed to contain both traditional and digital identifiers. The DTI provides a separate, globally consistent identifier for digital tokens; XT ISINs apply the ISIN framework to selected cryptoassets.

Stephan Dreyer, ANNA’s managing director, commented: “Integrating DTIs and XT ISINs into the ASB includes a specific digital asset flag that denotes whether an instrument is digital or tokenised. Bringing these identifiers into the core database lets users access unified reference data for reporting and validation.”

Sassan Danesh, chief executive of Etrading Software, parent company of DTIF, added: “The DTI standard provides a consistent identifier for cryptoassets. Distributing DTIs alongside traditional identifiers through the ASB allows firms to incorporate digital and tokenised assets into existing workflows and data channels.”

ANNA supports the use of ISO standards for financial identifiers and coordinates with national numbering agencies to assign and maintain instrument identifiers. DTIF manages the DTI standard and works with ANNA to register and distribute identifiers for digital tokens through established market infrastructure.
