Allianz Global Investors launches active ETFs on Deutsche Boerse
Allianz Global Investors listed three active ‘Allianz Smart Active’ equity ETFs on Deutsche Boerse covering US, Europe and global stocks using quantitative signals, machine learning and AI.
Allianz Global Investors listed its first active ETFs on Deutsche Boerse this week, launching three Allianz Smart Active equity ETFs that target US, European and global stocks through a quantitative, systematic investment process.
Each fund is an actively managed UCITS equity ETF that uses a rule-based model to analyse and select individual securities based on proprietary attractiveness signals rather than by tracking a benchmark index.
Company materials state the strategy uses data analysis, machine learning, natural language processing and other forms of artificial intelligence to generate investment signals. The signals are derived from market positioning, price dynamics, analyst assessments and factor premiums, and they feed the quantitative model that governs security selection and portfolio construction.
All three ETFs are structured as accumulating share classes. The Allianz Smart Europe Equity Active UCITS ETF – EUR Acc has ISIN IE000519M2U5 and an ongoing charge of 0.25%. The Allianz Smart US Equity Active UCITS ETF – USD Acc carries ISIN IE000LST78X7 and an ongoing charge of 0.20%. The Allianz Smart Global Equity Active UCITS ETF – USD Acc is listed with ISIN IE000NZURBQ4 and an ongoing charge of 0.25%.
The funds provide on-exchange access to actively managed exposure across different regional equity markets while operating within the UCITS regulatory framework. Because they are actively managed, portfolio weights and holdings can differ from conventional index-tracking ETFs and may change in response to the systematic signals generated by the model.
These listings are Allianz Global Investors’ first active ETF products available on a major European exchange.
