Allfunds Blockchain, Alchelyst launch private-markets API

A permissioned blockchain API will automate investor order processing for private markets, enabling straight-through subscriptions, redemptions and switches with real-time data exchange.

Allfunds Blockchain and Alchelyst announced a permissioned blockchain API to automate investor order processing for private markets. The API supports straight-through subscriptions, redemptions and switches and enables real-time data exchange between the two firms.

The Alchelyst×Allfunds Blockchain API runs on Allfunds’ blockchain infrastructure and connects to Alchelyst’s Aurum platform. The integration replaces manual transfer agency workflows with an API-driven permissioned ledger that moves order and investor data directly between fund operations and distributor networks.

The setup automates order routing and processing for private funds, handling subscriptions, redemptions and switches without batch reconciliation. The firms say the technology is designed to remove error-prone manual steps from back-office operations and cut administrative friction.

Under the permissioned model, participants on the ledger are identified and access is controlled. Real-time data exchange is intended to reduce the need for manual reconciliation and scheduled batch updates used in traditional transfer agency models.

Alchelyst said the partnership gives general partners a direct digital route into the Allfunds distribution network without the need for heavy in-house connectivity investment. Will Callaghan, Head of Product at Alchelyst, said the company is focused on building infrastructure that enables fund managers to scale.

Rubén Nieto, Managing Director at Allfunds Blockchain, added the collaboration connects distribution infrastructure and fund operations and automates workflows that previously relied on manual intervention.

The firms did not disclose client names or a public rollout timetable. They said the integration is available to Alchelyst clients seeking to connect to the Allfunds distribution network.
