Adyen has appointed Niclas Neglen as chief financial officer. He will oversee financial reporting, treasury, tax and investor relations, and will manage accounting and capital allocation across the company.

Neglen joins from Klarna, the Stockholm-based consumer finance and payments company, where he held senior finance roles including chief financial officer. At Klarna he worked on financial controls, reporting and finance strategy for a business operating in multiple countries and product lines.

Adyen is an Amsterdam-based payments technology company listed on Euronext Amsterdam. The firm provides payment processing, risk management and payout services to merchants and platforms operating in e-commerce and point-of-sale environments.

Neglen moves from a consumer-facing finance firm to a merchant-focused payments company. The company did not disclose his start date or compensation.

Adyen announced the change amid efforts to scale its platform and support international customers.
